Our Legacy and Mission

Established in 1918 by Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole, the Prince Kūhiō Hawaiian Civic Club is dedicated to fostering civic engagement and educational advancement within the Hawaiian community. Our mission is to preserve and promote Hawaiian culture, values, and education, ensuring that future generations remain connected to their rich heritage. Through our initiatives, we strive to empower individuals and communities, nurturing leaders who will carry forward the legacy of our ancestors.

Keiki & ʻŌpio Scholarship Application

The PKHCC-SF Keiki & ʻŌpio Scholarship is open to recipients that are attending pre-school, primary, secondary school, or an educational enrichment program in the state of Hawaiʻi. Only completed applications submitted by the deadline will be considered. All applications are due by July 13, 2025.

Eligibility criteria include being of Hawaiian descent, enrolled in an accredited institution, and actively participating in community service. Preference will be given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry and members or member relatives of the Prince Kūhiō Hawaiian Civic Club to the extent permitted by law.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS KEIKI & ʻŌPIO SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 

Scholarship Application for the PKHCC-SF Undergraduate, Graduate, and Vocational awards. 

Preference will be given to those applicants that are Native Hawaiian and members of a Hawaiian Civic Club to the extent permissible bylaw. Please find the terms and conditions for each award type below:

Eligibility criteria include being of Hawaiian descent, enrolled in an accredited institution, and actively participating in community service. This scholarship aims to support students who embody the spirit of aloha and are dedicated to contributing positively to their communities.
